Introduction Toronto Chinese Golf Association TORONTO CHINESE GOLF ASSOCIATION The Toronto Chinese Golf Association ("TCGA"), a social organisation, was formed in 1990 by a small group of golf enthusiasts. It has a current membership of 43 golfers from all walks of life. The objectives of the Association are to gather Chinese golfers together, to promote the game of golf, to improve golfing skills, to introduce the game to non-golfers, to foster fellowship and sportsmanship, and to facilitate networking and social opportunities. The Association organizes monthly games for members annually from May to October and other special occasion events from time to time. In the past, the Association hosted the Man Financial Chinese Amateur Golf Invitational (Man FinancialCAGI) tournament in August (discontinued in 2007).The Association organizes monthly games for members annually from May to October and other special occasion events such as the Annual Ball and Chinese New Year’s Banquet. In addition, the Association hosts the Man Financial Chinese Amateur Golf Invitational (ManFinancialCAGI) tournament in August, which will have its 13th anniversary in 2006. It is a successful and well-sponsored tournament, and attracts very large turnouts, including participants from the West Coast, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The Association organizes monthly games for members annually from May to October and other special occasion even t such as the A ward Dinner Night when trophies are presented to the overall champions and monthly game winners. While only members of TCGA are eligible for trophies and awards, guests are always welcome to join our monthly games. Prior to 2007 , the Association hosted the Man Financial Chinese Amateur Golf Invitational (ManFinancialCAGI) tournament. It was proven to be a successful event and is greatly missed by GTA golf players.
